Good Big Sister

Riley is a very sweet, very protective big sister. She treats JD just like she treats all of her dollies!

2 weeks old

JD is 2 weeks old! He's growing: 8lb 11oz at his MD visit yesterday. He's also more awake and aware now--and not as excited about sleeping . . .

We've been busy here, despite the rain. We managed to go strawberry picking at Jaswell's between rain showers. JD slept in his baby Bjorn, and Riley spent an hour asking, "Is this one red? This one bruised?"

Survived Week 1!

We're doing well! JD sleeps pretty well at night now, and that makes a big difference. He's doing all things that a baby is supposed to do: eat, sleep, cry, poop, eat, eat, eat. He doesn't fuss that often, but when he does, the neighbors can hear him crying!

At his 1 week MD appt, he was 8lb 2 oz (lost about 5% of his massive body weight) and still 21 inches.
