every day, riley and i read this book: "Eight Silly Monkeys." you know this book--eight silly monkeys jumping on the bed/one fell off and bumped his head/momma called the doctor and the doctor said/"no more monkeys jumpin' on the bed!"
riley pulls it off her bookshelf herself (it is the largest book on the bottom shelf, so it may simply be a coincidence). she turns the pages (never at the right time and never one page at a time), and she pokes at those monkeys very intently.

Owen likes the Spot books that have a flap on each page that he can look under. Also this one we have called 'my pets - a magic color book'. In that one it has an outline of an animal and when you pull the tab out (mommy still has to do this) the animal gets colored in. A big hit!

You also might want to try "Down on the Farm with Grover" I think it was your Mom's book originally.
BTW, Kimberly, the junior in college is coming home for Thanksgiving week. Can she practice Ped's on you?
