Beach CHAOS

We spent a week in Chatham on Cape Cod. It was glorious and chaotic. You can see you much STUFF we needed to bring to the beach. Featured here is our friend, Keith, and his daughter Emmy. We rented a house with his family.

Popo in July

Popo stayed with us for a week in July to get to know her grandchildren and to help out. The lucky duck is now on her cruise to Europe!

Matt's Graduating Class

After SIX years, Matt has finished his time at Brown. He completed his residency in orthopedics and an extra year of trauma fellowship. He has now started a sports medicine/arthroscopy fellowship at UMass Worcester (why stop training now?).

The guys in this picture have been Matt's colleagues and best friends. Ian is now in Salt Lake City; Jonathan is in Dallas; Keith remained at Brown; Eugene is in Atlanta. I miss them all already!

Little Brother JD

JD is now 8 weeks old . . . Tomorrow we go for his doctor's appointment, and then we'll have his official stats--but I can guarantee that he is no skinny puppy! He is outgrowing clothes every day.

JD has accomplished smiling and cooing, particularly in the middle of the night. He is a very laid-back baby and he spends most of his days being carted around to Riley's activities. He never makes a peep.

Riley and Ben

This is Riley and her best friend, Ben. Ben's mommy and Riley's daddy used to play together when they were toddlers, too. Ben's grandmother and Riley's Nana have been good friends for years! Now Ben and Riley go to the gym together every week, and they have become the best of friends.

July 6, 2009: 4 weeks old

JD is 4 weeks old!

23 inches long

still eating like a champ, sleeping sort of OK, and generally being adorable.

We celebrated the 4th at the Healey's new house for an old-fashioned BBQ and pool party!

Yes, I stood in line for an hour at the Corky's sale 2 months ago, very pregnant with JD, to buy these matching 4th of July outfits. The kiddos wore them for about 45 minutes. Riley immediately spilled something on hers and traded it in for a bathing suit. JD pooped through his almost as quickly (he's now in size 1 diapers instead of the newborns). And, no, I did not get a picture of the two of them where one of them is not crying . . .
