Night-night
Here is an example of how parents change over time. This picture represents many of things I said I would NEVER let Riley do . . .
Riley has taken to snuggling in our bed before she goes to sleep. She has Cookie Monster (a gift from cousin Jeff--won at Dave and Busters!), apple juice in a sippy cup, and a graham cracker that leaves lots of crumbs in our sheets. Oh, and she's watching Curious George on T.V.
New Boots
Riley needed rain boots to play in the puddles. Unfortunately, it hasn't rained in a long time, but Riley still needed to try out her boots. Here are the manmade puddles in the driveway--the boots worked just fine.
Polo
We went to a polo match in Portsmouth this past weekend. Riley was a little afraid of the horses up close, but that didn't stop her from trying to run onto the field NUMEROUS times during the actual game.
The Little Gym
This is Riley's 2nd gym. This is the gym where she takes classes with her buddy Ben. She also has another gym where she does free play once in a while (see below). It's hard to keep Riley's activities straight these days.
Gym Time
Riley is really developing her gross motor skills these days. Here she is hanging from this bar, 2 feet over a pit of foam, for about 20 seconds. 20 seconds! I couldn't do that (well, maybe I could, but I haven't tried in a long time--parents aren't allowed in the pit).
New Hampshire
We had a wonderful week off together. We went to New Hampshire to visit Popo Ellie. Cousin Nikki came with us for the trip, and we also visited cousin Brittany and her family. Nikki will be starting college this fall (this week?!?!?), and it was so nice to spend this time with her.
(Nikki was particularly invaluable when she advised us on which Wii games to buy . . . Riley is already a pro at bowling.)

Order up!
Riley played with this set at Kimberly's "going back to school" party. I will never forgive those Wongs if Riley's future career aspirations are to wear an outfit like this one!
Do you want fries with that?
This McDonald's playset is left over from Kim and Nikki's childhood! Riley loved pretending to cook the food that may have caused the obesity epidemic in the U.S. (But aren't those chicken McNuggets delicious?) I am proud that Riley did not know what a Big Mac is, but she was fast to pick out the French fries and the ice cream. Hmmmm.
